Re: Getting my gun into NZ

Hi thebladestar,

I haven't bought anything off them myself (yet) but I do know there are a few TAG members who have, and they recommend them as a generally reliable site.
If you take a look under the help options at shipping they say:

"We can ship semi-auto alteration service to you. We provide semi-auto alteration service. Simply click here and add it to your shopping cart. We will make it for you." - http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/eac-semi-aut ... -plan.html

I think the general rule of thumb is to tell them in your order notes it will be going to New Zealand and to add a sticker, label and/or note in the shipping details for when it reaches our customs. This way customs should figure out pretty easily that it is Semi only etc. so there shouldn't be any issue's.

Re: Getting my gun into NZ

Just a note on your gun choice. We no longer have the CQB facility so if you're getting an SMG type airsoft based on CQB use, might be a good idea to look at something with more range? No idea how much range MP5s have but in general, longer the inner barrel, generally the more range and accuracy it will have.

Either than that, yeah as Drittzy said, ehobby is generally reliable but heard stories about them not semi-ing properly and guns being held by customs so best make sure they semi it properly. I got mine from them but had no troubles.

Make sure you have the semi conversion plan in your cart before checkout.

If you like MP5s then you might also like g3s. G&G make a great MC51. Someone at TAG has and old one they might want to sell too.

Re: Getting my gun into NZ

Try the other sites, unless you have already.
But it's a good thing that airsoft is fun, your very own gun or a borrowed gun. Just come out and have a blast, get to know the guys. I tried using 'not having my own aeg' as an excuse when I first started...but it was just too much fun to not be playing :D + Club guns = reliable albeit noisy with the high caps (but that's not a big concern in greenfield). Also they kick the crap out of my G&P M4 lol.
