Hi Zippy.

Bring some lunch and water too, we're a bit far from the shops and you'll definitely get thirsty running around the woods!

Sturdy footwear is a must and dark clothing is recommended.

Any other questions, we're happy to help.

Hi!
I'm keen to come out one Sunday and give the sport a go, potentially bringing a lot of others for an end of season function for my football team. What kit would we need to bring out, what model guns are used as rentals and is full face/ear protection available? Thanks in advance c:

Hi Laces

As far as kit goes, all you will need is a decent pair of shoes/boots and pants/top that you don't mind running around in and don't stick out like dogs balls in the forest.

We use G36's as rentals. I do have some spare face masks, but generally the only protection given as part of the rental fee is eye protection.

How many would you be bringing out? At the moment, we can really only sort 5-6 people out with hire guns. We aren't a commercial operation.

Re: New Players welcome every Sunday

Hi All,

I recently moved to Christchurch from Sydney, and I'm pretty keen to get into Airsoft. I met a couple of you guys at the military vehicle show last weekend, thought I'd join the forum and figure out when is a good time to come along and introduce myself.

I used to shoot real steel over in Aussie, and I'd like to get back into target shooting and hunting here eventually, but I'd prefer to get into Airsoft first (it's still illegal back home...)

I saw you have a 10th anniversary event on this week, so it's probably not a great time for a newbie to show up!

Looking forward to getting to know everyone here!

Cheers,
Alex

New Players welcome every Sunday

Hi Alex, you're correct about this Sunday not being great for someone new to the sport, however this Sunday is definitely the exception. We play every Sunday, and you'll be very welcome to head along for a normal game day, so keep an eye on the events thread and by the middle of next week we'll have a post up for next Sunday's game. Make sure you bring a signed waiver and let us know you need to borrow some club gear on the applicable thread and head on out.

If you have any questions, ask away. We have a great group of members who will gladly offer advice and help you out with anything.

Look forward to meeting you.

Hi Daltez,

Sorry there is no scheduled game for this Sunday, we have all committed to an ASNZ interclub on Saturday and most of our dudes won't be able to do two days of airsoft this weekend. We will be back to regular activities next Sunday (playing every week).

Hey, it's cub
Just wondering, do you still do transport? I am a boarder at Christs College and I can't easily get out there. And can 15-year-olds play?

Hi again Cub. Yes we can assist with transport. We invite players to join us who are 18 or 16+ with a firearms license.

Are people who are younger than 16 (15) able to play games?

Ok, thanks Merlin. Are there any other arenas that have similar terrain to tag?

Not on the South Island I'm afraid, we are extremely lucky to have the field we do.
