Re: Buying New Gun For Noobs/Me

What type of battery is it? LiPo is likely best, NiMh is good enough and NiCd I would recommend removing from your cart. If you're buying a battery from ehobby, you should know that they can be found much cheaper

Also with ammo, if you're buying ammo from outside the club (the club sells ammo $20 for 4000 .2s), the BBs must be biodegradable for use on our green field. It is part of our lease deal with ECAN. Non-bios are fine for use at our CQB facility.

If you're buying mags, make sure they are real/low caps. TAG rules require magazines to be sub 100 rounds and non winding.

Thats no lipo. In the details you can see the battery cell type is NiMh and if it was a lipo it would have the balance connection aswell as the main connector. NiMh batteries are fine.

Battery is all good. Mags I'm not so sure about.

TAG Rules wrote:Magazines
Players at TAG club games shall use only real or low capacity magazines in their airsoft guns.

Real and low capacity magazines are defined as any non-electric self feeding magazine that has no manual winder.

Unfortunately there is no consistency in the size of low caps between the different types of airsoft guns. But generally sub 100 rounds is considered a low cap, in some cases however there may not be a sub 100 round option for a particular gun so it has been left open.

Although there are a huge amount of generic M4 mags available, there don't seem to be any sub 130 round magazines made by G&P. I'm no expert, but there may be potential for misfeeding when you throw in random mags.

It may be worth holding off on buying the mags for now and trying some of our M4 mags to be sure they work fine or trying to sweet talk the committee members into allowing you to use the 130 round mags.

Form the sounds of it he already has bought the mags.

However you can open them up and put something below the bottom of the spring to decrease the capacity.
I have the same mags and they are pretty easy to open, just a couple of screws no glue or anything.
I just put about 30 bb's below the spring in mine and i believe they hold about 90 rounds now.

Re: Buying New Gun For Noobs/Me

Damn! It seem's as if the mag's i have brought are too big? How would one go about using "honeyed words" with said committe member's about my over-sized package's :P

And if any are listening, could you please kindly allow for my 130 cap mag's, for I am a lonely soul who spends most of his time working, obeying my gf and remaking char's on Skyrim, D3, MW3 and hoarding weapons, ammo and supply's ( in their actual numbers ) on Fallout New Vegas. I am excited to be a part of Airsoft, TAG especially and im hoping the remaining three days of the four day trial are enough to gain the support needed to become a fully fledged TAG member.

No need for sweet talking, the mags can be modified as Alroys suggested. Won't be any problems.
