Re: Gear pic/link thread.

Pre-ordered my new uniform:

Flash Force Industries Woodland Combat Uniform, Gen III

Reportedly very high quality and should exceed anything else on the market, bar Crye.

Pre-ordering was $170 NZD, landed.

That uniform looks pretty comfy, haven't heard of FFI before. Reviews look decent though. Is it supposed to be better than Propper?

Will not know for sure until it's here. Should be good, they use all the right stuff. The manufacturers website is here.

Yeh not bad eh, about the same price as the FFI once shipping's included. I like the design of the FFI more even if it is repro though.

Could anyone recommend a pair of boots for me? I have never ever bothered getting one before. I need something that can make me run fast.

Reebok combat boots forever. Same sizing as running shoes, light, comfortable forever. My last pair were the most godly boots I ever owned, and I need to replace them.

Sqwert, I use Altama Exospeed boots. Speed is in the name. Really light and fast. Plus they're not Reebok. What is this 1999?

Re: Gear pic/link thread.

Reebok bought the rights to the design from Converse. Basically everyone wears them because they own. Your point? :)

Thread cleaned - lets try to stay on topic.

AWS Operators Choice Plate Carrier
LBT6094 Pattern made under license in the US of A. Very, very high quality vest and should be considered. Unless you want the LBT label - get this. About $250 landed (Shipped through YouShop)

After fielding this, I continue to be impressed. Stitching held up great, mounting pouches was no problem at all, and it sat comfortably. Shoulder pads aren’t terribly great, but then again they’re complete copies of the LBT pads, and the LBT pads aren’t fantastic either. Comm routing velcro loops on the front, back, and pads work great and were able to fit the hydration tube from my Source bladder.

Overall, this is a very well made plate carrier, and it’s construction is close to, if not rivaling, LBT’s construction. I highly recommend this for people who want a 6094 type carrier that’s made in the US, but can’t afford LBT’s prices.

Source.
