Re: New Players welcome every Sunday

Hi, I would like to start airsoft and I have a few questions also I don't know the rules. Is 15 old enough to play? How much does it cost if you bring your own airsoft gun and bbs? Where exactly is the arena located? Do you hire caomflaged suits or bring something suitable?
Thanks I hope to hear a reply in time to play tomorrow

Re: New Players welcome every Sunday

Hey Aztec

15 is a bit young for our club. The minimum age to play at TAG is 16, and that requires your parents to sign a permission slip.

If you bring your own gun and BBs, the only charge is the yearly or half yearly membership fee. Currently the yearly fee is $120 while the half yearly fee is $65. I should note here that only biodegradable BBs are allowed to be used at our field due to ECAN restrictions on our lease.

The field is located here: http://maps.google.co.nz/maps/ms?ie=UTF ... 2e96a98c08

We do not have any suits available for hire. Something dark in colour is good enough.

Hope this helps, and I hope we can see you out there when you hit 16.

Hey Aztec in the time you have before you can come try out this wicked as sport, you should jump on YouTube and look up some airsoft vids, there's a whole wide world of airsofters out there mate, also why not start looking at what sort of "kit" you would like to roll in while playing,a years a good time to save and buy the nice cammo bro!,anyways this is the advise I give my fifteen year old,and he can't wait to come out!!

Re: New Players welcome every Sunday

hey alex

welcome we play every sunday so there would be most likly a game on the 8th of April. If you bring your own gun and BBs the club only allows biodegradable BBs at our field due to ECAN restrictions on our lease, the fps limit is 350fps for all guns. Games start around 9am and we finish around 2pm and you should bring lots of water and bring lunch out with you.

hope this helps and see you out sometime.

As i understand it, a sniper rifle at our club is classed as a bolt action gun. ie NOT semi auto

I have the WE G36E. It 6.03 tightbore barrel as standard, and was chronoed at the store at 335 fps with full hop up and 370-400 with hop up turned all the way down. It reaches 600fps easily (with 0.20g BB) because i purchased the WE modified nozzle off Evike.com. But i dont use that nozzle as its pretty useless to have such a powerful gun with no use in games...but even with the stock nozzles, there is no way i can get it down to 310fps..even with the hopup turned to max (which curves the BBs to near 45 deg upwards >.>) ...so i am abit stuck here. Il get slaughtered on the field with just a m92f sidearm. Btw, the WE G36E has no modifications on it(stock spring, stock barrel, stock rubber), yet, and its not powder powered, just plain green gas. god knows what'll happen if i use Red gas :o

Re: New Players welcome every Sunday

Hi Alex

Does the G39 have an NPAS fitted? That is the device all gas powered guns need to dial its fps down.

The G39 will need to shoot <350fps on .20g bbs.

Most clubs in the South Island have the 350fps limit in place so it is a worthy investment.

My advice would be to bring the gun out to one of our Sunday games, and talk to our boyz.

We do have several club guns (g36) for hire for $20 incl. eye-pro, bbs.

This week we are playing at the MAG TTC which is a CQB environment. You're pistol would not be out gunned there and you're most welcome to join us:

Hope to see you out there!

Hi there,

Thanks so much for the info. Yes I know about NPAS system. Was looking at one
from RA Tech..but I'm a uni student right now so my funds are limiting haha. I would be really keen to come in this Sunday and listen to some advice from you guys actually..I'm very much a newbie to actual games. How much is it to just borrow eye goggles and some bbs? My bbs aren't biodegradable..so might need to buy them there. And where's the MAG TTC?

Thanks again:-)
