My son’s & I have been attending Airsoft Canterbury for a while. But I’m looking for a group closer to ChCh. I’ve checked out the TAG web site & map’s of your Sunday meets. But I’ve got a few questions.
Do you have a list of airsoft guns available for hire on the web site & $ of same? I’ve also been talking to Nigel re airsoft guns & roles. As I’m looking at a DMR like role. Do TAG have any rules re DMR guns & fps of same?

Hi Brian.

We do have clubguns available to hire. They are all JG G36Cs. We do not have DMR rules however we do have sniper rules. To use a bolt action sniper rifle at TAG above 400 fps on 0.2g bbs you must have been a paid member for at least three months and have been approved by the committee. All the club guns cost 20 dollars for the day and include ammo. If you want to book a club gun just say so in the game thread.

Also Brian, TAG does not allow under 16s to play. Unlikely to be an issue for you, but may be for your son.

Hey Guys. I recently came from Baku, Azerbaijan to study in Christchurch and i have always been interested in airsoft. I have expirience with airsoft weapons and games because i played with a few friends in Dubai. Id like to join the TAG for games but i have a few questions. Do you need firearms liscence to purchase Airsoft weapons in NZ? Im also boarding in a school and live on Papanui RD, Merivale. and as far as i know, the place where you guys play is far to me. What is the best solution for transport for me?

If you are over 18, you do not need a firearms license to purchase airsoft guns.

If you are between 16 and 18, you will need a firearms license to purchase (and own) an airsoft gun.

As far as transport goes, your best bet would be to try and catch a ride with one of us. I'm not sure how many players we have out your way though.

Hey guys, I was in the last cqb game, it was alot of fun and I am dead keen to come along again. Just thought i'd post in here as a new recruit and comment about the day. The guys at TAG airsoft were great, friendly to new comers and the pre-game briefing was well informed with easy to understand rules and etiquette. I use to play awhile back with another club, but nothing as good as this experience. To other new comers I'd say you wouldn't regret it, best fun i've had in years!.

I know where you guys are located and have a couple of friends who'd like tah try it out (one of them loves the GS36) we want to come check it out but we have church from 11am-1230pm.

have a good knowledge and understanding of tactics but never really get to put it into practice as much as i like.

Hi there I am really interested in starting airsoft again, I have played a game previously with TAG prior to selling my gun and gear and am now wanting to get back into it. If there is a game this coming Sunday I would really like to come down with a mate and have a look. I would need to hire a gun and all the rest from you guys aswel for both people.
