Hi Ginga

Welcome to Tag just a couple of things to keep you informed dude. As per the fire arms act you have to be 16 with a firearms licence or 18 with out to own and transport a weapon to and from a game. So just hold of from getting a weapon just now unless their is someone of age who can store it and transport it to and from the game.

Tag allows 16 year olds to play but the above mentioned applies. Not to put you off tag runs like this your first 4 game are free but you can hire a G36C SEG for $20.00 including ammo for the day. This is so you can realy decide if you love the game as we do with out spending wads of cash on gear first and gives you time to talk to members whats good and whats not.

Hope this helps and please ask more questions my self or other members will answer them to the very best. lol :D :D :D

Hope to see you at a game very soon.

Cheers :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Re: Im new and ginga!

Hey there. I see you've gone for a SRC First Gen gun. From what I've read on the internet, the first generation guns from SRC are very poor in terms of reliability and performance. I'd say you'd be better off saving up a bit of extra money for something a little better like a SRC Gen 3 gun. About a month ago ASGC was selling SRC gen 3 m4s for 400+ dollars. Since they;re out of stock I'd recommended having a look at the G&G guns on thearmoury.

They've got almost the same gun, but a higher quality brand for the same price http://www.armory.co.nz/index.php?searc ... 90=&page=2

Anyway I'd hate to be a buzzkill but you'd probably be better off without a SRC Gen 1 Plastic gun. Google some reviews on it and you'll find out what I mean.

Edit: Oh and dont get anything with blowback, it breaks.
Edit 2: Also the ares guns (which are good) are on sale, but they're almost impossible to find certain replacement parts for, so if anything outside the gearbox breaks you're gonna have a bad time.

Yeah the G&G guns from the armory (like http://www.armory.co.nz/cat_36/tov_42.html and http://www.armory.co.nz/cat_36/tov_45.html) are worth a look - they're exceptional value for what you get. Only problem is finding mid/low-cap mags that work with them. Though Tauron just got a MAGPUL 75rnd PMAG (http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/magpul-pts-75rd-green-label-pmag-for-m4-m16-aeg-black.html) from EHA and it seems to work pretty well once he taped it up.
