Brief Hello and Some tips

Hey so I've been looking for a full time sport to run around and be active and I think Airsoft would be my thing, Played a couple games with you guys so far and I love it, also just needed some tips on where would be a good place to shop for guns aswell as what are the restrictions and what not. I'm looking for a nice assault rifle to start on that would be reliable and easy to use plus has good range.

Cheers

NZ Retailers,

http://www.thearmory.co.nz

http://www.asgc.co.nz

Both these are in Auckland.

I have found ASGC to offer great service.
I have never brought anything from the Armory.

Re: Brief Hello and Some tips

Theres also Ehobby asia, wgcshop and echigoya for the Chinese retailers. If you're buying from overseas you will need to tell them to semi it (so it can only fire in semi auto mode, as full auto is illegal in NZ) and pay the semi fee.

With assault rifles, I'm pretty sure they're much the same. Grab one you like the look of, or better yet take a look at what we have at our club and decide what you like the feel of most.

Also, you generally get what you pay for in terms of branding. Hard to go wrong with a Marui gun, but you can easily regret buying a real cheap one.

Do Reckon something like this would be a good starter gun or maybe up the price a bit?

LR300s are cool but i'd steer clear of HobbyEshop - they are getting mixed to negative reviews on the ASNZ forums.

If you want a good, entry level weapon for cheap, check out products such as the G&G combat machine and ICS Sport Line.

It looks ok to me.

I have only owned one G&G Airsoft Weapon (M4 CQB-R) and never had any reliability or accuracy problems with it.
It was a great weapon but after a while I sold it due to not liking the way it looked. (The look of the weapon is important to me as much as the reliability and accuracy)

I am more of a Tokyo Marui / G&P / King Arms whore.......
