AEG Problems

Ok, so I took apart my aeg to fit my new springs to try and get my gun .25 ready. And when I put all of it back together again and test fired, the trigger seems to get 'stuck' on something and make a clicking noise as it's pulled back and won't fire. After an hour of trying to figure out the problem was, I think I narrowed it down to the selector plate not moving all the way back when put in the semi and auto fire mode. This just randomly started happening and have 0 idea what's wrong and really really frustrated 'cos everytime I take apart my aeg for a simple spring change/cut or simple upgrade, something totally unrelated goes shitfaced and I'm left spending hours on fixing it.

...so before I throw my aeg in the recycling bin, does anyone have any idea how to fix this? It's a V2 G&P gearbox for an M4.

Symptoms:
- Trigger sounds like it's getting caught up on something and makes a 'clicking' sound as it is fully pulled back on both semi and full auto modes.
- Safety works fine, no misfires when safety is on
- Selector plate doesn't seem to pull all the way back (I can emulate the clicking shittiness by moving the selector plate around when the gearbox is not in the lower reciever)
- When I pull the selector plate all the way back, trigger pulls as it should flawlessly
- When I let the selector plate settle on it's own or using the fire selector on lower reciever, it clicks.
- This is drving me nuts.
