Is this gun any good.

Hey y'all. I've been looking for guns and I came across the ASG M4 and I was wondering if anyone has had any history with ASG and whether their guns are any good?
(I am aware of the issues with getting guns underage, I'm working on it.)

Nothing wrong with it, will get the job done. Just an ICS M4 with split gearbox and licensed Hera Arms furniture.

Do you recommend Hi-caps or mid-caps?

Re: Is this gun any good.

We recommend (require) sub-100 round magazines to play here.

If you only have hi-caps you can use them for a while, but the expecation is to use sub-100 rounds magazines where possible. Its definitely enough to get the job done!

If you want to reduce the fps to make it playable, do you just change the spring like a springer sniper rifle or do you have to take it to a shop. I will probably be playing at the arena until I can actually get a gun license but I was just wondering how easy it is to change it.

Re: Is this gun any good.

You have to take apart the gearbox. It will take you a couple of hours but all you need is a few screwdrivers and patience. There's plenty of V2 Gearbox Takedown videos on youtube! You'll save yourself a whole lot of money and learn a lot if you do it yourself.

Anything you break is replaceable anyway. And cheaper than getting it done in the shop to begin with most likely.

Re: Is this gun any good.

How much leeway will most fields give my fps? The arena runs on a 350 limit but if my gun shoots at 370, will they allow it?

Re: Is this gun any good.

350 fps limit is 350 fps max. Don't need to be right on 350 fps to be a good player at those fields. Plenty of us have used our stock Tokyo Marui(sub 300 fps) and had no trouble on those fields.
