This is also news to me... As a result I've made other plans, so I'm out. Hopefully next time.

It's on the first post. Unless Nem ninja edited it, it has always been there.

That was in the first post when it was first thrown up.

Yes. Definitely more enjoyable than first time (not playing in the dark).

Would like to see some more emphasis towards kills. As we proved in the last few matches, the current scoring system is broken.

Also knowing the scoring prior to arriving on site would be helpful.

Early days yet but this competition is so far very promising.

Reason for the change was to try and make the games worth watching. If a team can win by spamming from the back of the field its a dull thing to watch. The final at nats was like that and it was zzzworthy.

If everybody played like Squert it would be epic stuff to watch.

Play like Squert, do it.

Re: ASNZ Southern Competitive League

I totally agree, it should be more enjoyable to watch and players need to be given incentive to advance from cover.

The issue is, we won a series of matches by charging to the end of the field without firing a shot. The scoring needs to be balanced.

In it's current format, why even carry a weapon, if it just slows you down.

Re: ASNZ Southern Competitive League

Firstly, holy shit Nematode is here.

I think there should be a little more emphasis on kills. Currently if you reach the enemy base with the flag it's worth something like 70 points. Where wiping a team is worth 4.

It's weird that the game is over instantly when you finish the enemy team. You could have dominated in combat and both flags could have moved the same distance, however you get 2 or 3 points for your win. Alternatively a more beneficial strategy would be to sprint ignoring the last guy to gain much more point assuming that player does not commit suicide first.

It was fun though. The second set of rules was definately more fun and better to watch than the first. But once the rounds turned to sprinting competitions rather than airsoft competitions it got a bit silly.

Remember: Round three begins at 7 PM this coming Wednesday.

And for those of you that didn't attend last time, there is some awesome lighting set up.
