Merlatode has put the price of rations up, and I'm noticing he's giving more and more credits for hunts into the wastelands. Is he also running out of food? Now that I'm thinking about it why has his policy on the bandits changed, he doesn't want them bought back to him "dead or alive", only dead... I assumed it was to do with contamination, but now I'm not so sure.

The apocalypse is coming and Merlatode's is the safest place in town... Well, it's the only place that isn't covered in deadly radiation or inhabited by bandits. So sure, it's the safest by default, but it's still the safest!

Things you need to know beforehand (game rules, safety etc will be covered on the day):
Make sure to check here and the forum http://www.tagairsoft.co.nz/forum/viewt ... f=9&t=8955 for any last minute updates/changes or vital info this week.

1. Check the forecast and bring appropriate clothing to stay warm and dry, especially overnight. You're all adults and this is your responsibility!
2. Make sure you bring enough food, water and snacks for 2 full days of airsoft. There will be a LOT of walking, and you will be carrying heavy items.
3. This is a post apocalyptic themed event. NO full camo uniforms and no complete military vest load outs please. There is a trophy for the best costume.
4. Game starts at 12am. That means you need to be ready to play at 12. Setting up camp will be part of your first mission, but you will be able to set up tents prior to 12.
5. Gate opens at 11am.
6. Park at the start of the firebreak - look for the other cars. Walk from your car to the sign in desk, further up the firebreak. You will be directed into Merlatodes from here. You MUST NOT enter the forest anywhere else.
7. BBQ lunch is provided for you on Sunday.
8. Your own FM radios are recommended. The majority of missions will be issued via Radio Fission. (we do have radios available to borrow (they're pretty apocalyptic though)!
9. MOST IMPORTANTLY OF ALL. The game will be what you make it, so please have fun, and don't get too serious.

1st post updated with latest forecast. We are keeping an eye on the front moving North Thursday/Friday to make sure it doesn't stall, but current models have it being a relatively good weekend for Airsoft. Not too hot, not too cold and very little or no rain. We will be monitoring this, so please keep checking this thread throughout the week for any updates.

Latest update is even better. Fingers crossed this system doesn't stall, and we'll be sweet. May recommend setting up tents a little later in the day once the ground has dried out a little, but otherwise everything will be going ahead as planned.

Don't be put off by today's rain. The forecast, rain maps and pressure charts for the weekend are all showing two dry days and lots of Sun on Sunday.

We're definitely on. There may be a few light showers first thing, but they're expected to be light and clear relatively early. Will be wet underfoot, so please bear that in mind and make sure you dress appropriately (not to mention the radiation!!!!)

Gates open at 11. Please be prompt as we need to get you all signed in, waivers signed, escorted up to Merlatode's safe area, photos taken, group photo taken and finally, briefed ready for game on.
