Flick me a PM to discuss, but in short that's correct as we have to meet certain obligations from the government and as a responsible organisation.

For those that are unaware, the app doesn't send your location/check-in data anywhere. It is stored locally on the device and you choose to submit it to the relevant authority after being asked to do so. It's a basically just a fancy diary.

More information can be found here: https://tracing.covid19.govt.nz/help/privacypolicy
"Any further information you decide to record through the NZ COVID Tracer Digital Diary is stored securely on your phone and automatically deleted after 31 days.
Your Digital Diary can be used to scan Ministry supported QR Codes or you can add your own manual entries of places you have visited or activities you have been involved in.
If you test positive for COVID-19 it will be your choice whether you wish to electronically share your Digital Diary with Contact Tracers. This information will help us work out if anyone else may be at risk of having been infected with COVID-19 by being in contact with you.
If you are identified as having, or suspected of having, COVID-19 you are required by the Health Act to provide information to a Contact Tracer about your close contacts. You can find full details of the information you are required to disclose in section 92ZZC of the Health Act. You are not compelled to release the information in the form held on your mobile phone, but the NZ COVID Tracer App may assist you in this process if you choose."

COVID UPDATE
The situation is obviously changing quickly with new updates coming from the relevant agencies twice daily.

I have received a couple of questions regarding the use of the Government Covid tracing app.

The app serves a different purpose to that of TAG collecting your attendance details via a register (which we also have to do). It is a diary for you to remember every place you have been for the last 30 days so that authorities can make contact with them and act accordingly. One of the people in Auckland had to detail every place they had visited for the last 2 weeks, with times. Perhaps it's my age, but I couldn't do that. I can barely remember what I ate for breakfast!

While we sort through all the different information we're getting, please bear with us.

We will be reviewing this decision after the updates tomorrow, so please check back later tomorrow, or Saturday for more details.

Hi Guys. Sorry can't make the game this weekend. I've been flat out at work. Will see you all next weekend as long as Covid doesn't put a hold on it.

Hit Rules
Due to social distancing requirements I’ve gone with a contactless respawn. The respawn rules vary for each team slightly. Let me know if you have any questions.

  • Call ‘hit’ as per usual if any BB strikes you or any equipment you are carrying, including your gun. You are now wounded.
  • USEC will observe a Combat Rescue throughout the event.
  • RAVEN will observe a ‘fall-back rule’ for phases 1 and 2. They will switch to ‘Combat Rescue’ in phases 3 and 4.

Combat Rescue
  • Two players will be assigned to combat rescue.
  • Combat Rescuers are essentially medics.
  • To heal a wounded player, a combat rescuer crouches down 1 metre from the target player and informs the wounded player they are being healed. This must be said aloud.
  • Once the healing process begins a combat rescuer cannot move or shoot. They may communicate.
  • Armoured players wearing a helmet and armour require 20 seconds of healing
  • Unarmoured players require 40 seconds of healing.
  • Once the healing is complete, the healed player will re-join the game after an additional 20 seconds.
  • For the purposes of immersion, to be considered armoured, the helmet must replicate that of a military helmet and the plate carrier must protect the back and front of the player's torso.
  • Bleed out is 5 minutes, the bleed out location will be deployment, ECP or FOB - which ever is closest and uncontested.
  • Two alive players are required to heal a combat rescuer. Otherwise the rules are the same.

RAVEN Fall-Back Rules
  • RAVEN will fall-back out of combat (approximately 50 to 60 metres) immediately once hit and come alive once they group up with 3 teammates (similar to VC trail). The teammates can be dead or alive as long as they are out of combat.
  • This is to encourage players working together and setting effective ambushes/counter attacks.
  • As RAVEN will be defending pre-defined paths and objectives, there shouldn’t be any issues locating team-mates.
  • While on this rule, RAVEN cannot take ground, they can however wait for a passing enemy patrol and attack from the rear/flanks.

COVID UPDATE

Unless anything drastically changes, this is the final update pre-game.
For now, based on Ministry for Health and Sports NZ guidelines we are still game on.

As feared, a lot of amatuer sport has chosen to cancel rather than risk getting caught in being the center of an infection spread.
We believe we can operate safely with a few changes to our normal operating procedure and in doing so the risk is minimal to all participants.

We will continue as previously advised regarding the app and keeping a register of attendees and contact details.
- The app is to ensure anyone attending is able to provide a complete list of places visited in the event they are tested positive, and as a result helps keep the rest of us safe.
- The register is to ensure that in the event someone that participates is tested positive, we are able to provide the register to the Ministry of Health, who will then contact all participants.

We must also be cautious of public perception to protect both TAG and the wider Airsoft sport. By implementing the mandatory use of the app and register we can assure players and anyone else that we are being overtly vigilant and safe.

If anyone has any issues downloading, installing or registering the app and are concerned this will prevent you from playing I urge to reach out to me (Merlin) via PM ASAP so that I can assist with an alternative.

The rules in place under Level 2 are as follows:

- If you’re sick, stay home. Don't come to the game. You will be sent home.
- You are to maintain 2m social distancing from other players at all times where practical.
- Briefing will be held in the car park area to facilitate the 2m distancing.
- Please park further apart than usual to assist in maintaining the 2m social distancing.
- ALL players MUST register with the contact tracing app. People choosing not to cannot play.
As above, please reach out if you have any concerns, issues or questions with any of this.

It seems that the Baofeng BF-5Cs I BigThink and I have only go to channel 15 with 16 as a search mode, I am unsure if they can tune to channel 20? Is there a way to do it or are we out of luck?
