It is 2009 and the war in Afghanistan still rages on. The British forces operating in Helmand province are fighting a never ending battle with the elusive Taliban fighters.
With the increased focus on the Afghan conflict bringing in more troops into the combat zone, activates to disrupt and destroy the Taliban are being stepped up. The main focus is to destroy the Taliban positions near local population centers to allow the local people to return to there homes.
The areas near the towns are also the location of the Taliban’s poppy fields. With out these they will struggle to finance their activities and as such these locations are highly valuable to the Taliban and as such they have made preparations to defend them and will fight.
The British forces are determined to clear these areas and bring some form of peace to the area, but only time will tell if these actives will lead to a lasting peace.
Alright guys. As you can see this is operation Karez. It is going to be an interclub event, hopefully we will get a good turn out and have a good day. Some more details will be coming at a later stage.
Time line
9-9:30 am gate will be open for players to arrive
9:30 am gate will be shut if you are after this time you will have to walk in.
10 am all weapons chrono’ed and game briefing starts.
10:30 am game on
1:30 pm Lunch break
2 pm Casual games begin
4:30 pm casual games end gate open for players to leave
5 pm Gate shut

Once a player is hit they are to
1. Call their hit
2. Stand up in place and face away from the enemy positions
3. Wait in position to be medic’ed or 5 minutes which ever is sooner
4. If tagged by a medic wait 60 seconds then call “alive in 10â€Â
