TAG + CSG InterClub (Saturday) 5th October 2013
- Operation Tactical Spider is a day event being held at the TAG field on 05OCT13. The field gates will be open from 0930 and the briefing will commence at 1000. Game play will commence no later than 1030.
The scenario is based around a BLUE Force and a RED Force capturing objectives and performing off the cuff missions if issued. There are three control points on the field (see map) and either team’s objective is to control as many points as possible.
At each capture points is a flag station with two flags (one red, one blue) on a string pulley. On the stands are two stopwatches with an alternate RED/BLUE background (red side denotes the read team’s timer, blue side denotes the blue team’s timer). A flag station is captured by hoisting your flag to the top of the mast and depressing the right hand button on the opposite teams timer to stop their capture time and then depressing the right side button on your teams timer to begin your team’s capture time.
Flag stations are placed at the following locations:
- Flag station 1 – L19, Hospital
- Flag station 2 – F17, Samsite
- Flag station 3 – H11, Farm

Important:
- Permanent Marker: All Squadleaders must bring a permanent marker to mark their respawn card.
- Ammo: Due to TAG's agreement with ECAN, BIO BBs are the only rounds able to use on the field. These can be purchased on the day for $20 a bag. However, due to limited stock, if players can source their own, prior to the even it would be appreciated.
- HIt Markers Are required and must be a highly visible strip of material, no shorter than 30cm and no thinner than 5cm. It should be readily identifiable from a distance of 50 Meters. Some will be available to purchase on the day for $10.
- Water: Ensure you bring no less than 3 litres of water for the day and lunch. You are to carry water on your person in the field.
- If you suffer from hay fever it is recommended you bring antihistamine as the pines are in flower at the moment.
- Radios are highly recommended.
- SMOKING ON THE FIELD IS PROHIBITED.
FPS rules:
- As we are playing at the TAG field we will be playing under TAG rules.
- SEG
FPS = 350
MED = 10m - Snipers (bolt action only)
FPS = 500
MED = 20m
Teams:
- Teams are based around a 5 man squad. Teams that are on the Red Force are to wear US pattern uniform, teams on the Blue Force are to wear European/Non US uniforms. Entrants who have not entered with a team will be placed in one at the briefing.
Hit rules
- You are hit if a round strikes any part of your body, equipment or weapon. On being hit you are to call hit loudly, stand up straight away and place your hit marker where it is clearly visible. TAG will have hit markers available for sale for $10 at the field.
Bang Rule
A 10 meter minimum safe engagement distance is enforced. If you have a player dead-to-rights within the 10 meter engagement distance, aim your weapon at the opposing player and call 'bang' loudly.
Medic rules:
- We will be using captain my captain rules with a score card. Each team will have one score card that gives them 10 respawns. This is to be carried by the team leader. On a member being hit they are to follow the procedure in the paragraph above. The team leader can heal them by placing both hands on the wounded person’s body for a count of 30 seconds. The team leader then marks a cross in one of the boxes of their respawn card.
- People who have been hit and have not been healed are allowed to follow any alive squad member as a “ghost” until such a time as the squad leader is able to heal them. They are to remain in plain view at all times (to avoid being hit again) and ensure they keep their weapon across their shoulders with both hands on it. If the team leader is hit they are to follow the same procedure.
When a team has used up all of the boxes on their respawn card and each team member has been hit they are deemed “wiped out”. They are to then move to the appropriate sides holding area for a period of 5 minutes. A Marshall will visit these points periodically and will refurbish the respawn card noting the team that has been wiped out. The Marshalls can be raised on CH 20 if required to refurbish your respawn card.
There will be up to 3 Marshalls on the field at all times. Any teams deemed to be cheating by not marking their respawn card will be wiped out at the Marshall’s discretion. This will also result in administrative action by the appropriate committee.
Holding Areas:
- US / RED TEAM – Grid E10
- EURO / BLUE TEAM – Grid L23
No one can engage an enemy or be engaged within 10 meters of a holding area flag. Holding areas are for teams to respawn and for the start and reset after lunch.
The holding areas are:
Safety:
- Eye protection is to be worn at all times.
- MED is to be observed at all times.
- No member is allowed to go hands on with one another, any disputes are to be settled like gentleman or a Marshall will decide the outcome.
- In the event of an injury or accident the nearest person is to apply first aid and call out HELP, HELP, HELP in a loud voice. Stop will be called by the Marshall and all players to clear and make safe before proceeding to the incident to render assistance or point and laugh if it’s something stupid.
- Marshalls will carry a medical kit around the field.
