Hmmm, 15-man team broken down into 5-man operating squads, all working for a common goal. We are gonna kick arse!

Re: International Interclub Event

I see MAG are running a two-day event as well, 25 signed up with Aussies over to play as well.

I am starting to feel a bit disheartened by the fragmented airsoft culture in Canterbury :( What do we have now... 5 clubs/organisations competing for members locally?

Tomb and his +1 will be joining us.

They're those two dudes from the Czech Republic who've played with us a couple of times.

Re: International Interclub Event

Hi All,

Attached below is the latest information on the event.

DAY 2

**Will be within 30 Minutes of Christchurch City.

EVENT PLAN -
DAY 1

Game Brief and set up (Team movements) at 1030.
MilSim Begins at 1100.

*All weapons will be run through a Chrono and tagged to show FPS (Explained later).
Failure to get your weapon checked and tagged will result in the weapon being prohibited from the field.

DAY 2
SKIRMISH AIRSOFT EVENT.
Location and Timings will be given during Debrief on Day 1.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

HIT/DEAD RULES:

You are hit and considered KIA if your person is struck by an 'aimed*' BB.
This includes webbing/vests, helmets/hats and packs.
This DOES NOT include weapons.

*'Aimed' is considered any BB that has hit its target without ricochet off tree limbs or solid structures.
A BB hit after it has travelled through broom, scrub or grass is acceptable provided the BB's trajectory has not been radically influenced by the obstruction fired through.
Lob shots are not acceptable and will not count as kills - The only exception being GL rounds and frag or explosive ordinance.

Weapon hits will not kill the player but will instead render the struck weapon disabled for 5 (Five) Minutes.
The weapon can not be used in this time but can be held, slung or exchanged for a working weapon within this time.

DEAD RULES:
If the player is struck by a BB and considered KIA - They are to fall "BACK" at least 20 meters and out of contact where they will do 5 (Five) Minutes dead time.
Note - Remember that front may move, consider how far back you need to travel to remain out of contact while completing dead time.

Weapon hits are as above.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

FPS LIMITS AND ENGAGEMENT DISTANCES:

<350FPS - 0 (Zero) Meter Engagement Distance.
<410FPS - 10 (Ten) Meter Engagement Distance.
>411FPS - 20 (Twenty) Meter Engagement Distance.
Bolt Action Rifles - 20 (Twenty) Meter Engagement Distance.
Designated Marksmen Rifles (DMRs) - Treated as AEGs and will follow rules above.

Automatic Weapons:
Permitted with restriction to Designated Scouts and Gunners.
These weapons will be noted during registration and restrictions advised at this time.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ANY QUESTIONS WILL BE ANSWERED DURING PRE-GAME BRIEFINGS
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

MESSAGE END.

Re: International Interclub Event

I can carpool a few people if necessary, by the way. I'm going to both days, and will be leaving from Avonside in Christchurch. First day is an hour and ten minutes' drive, hah!

Re: International Interclub Event

So semi auto guns can be over 410 FPS but we have to use the 20m + Minimum Engagement Distance?

Am I correct?

Yea, think my SR-25 was doing about 450FPS with stock spring, just not enough time to get another spring....
