Game Sunday 17th 2015 - Operation Dust Viper

Hey folks, Merlin has chucked his hand up and is keen to run us a not-quite-MilSim, 'Milsoft' game. Missions will be given to each team, ammo will be restricted and resupply will be conducted while in game.

Welcome to Northern Gurbhasistan. It is 2015 and the aggressive, pseudo-state FRIC (Fictional Religious Insurgent Coalition) have declared a Jihad on the local Tapasban tribes. As a result, substantial engagements are ongoing across the region and in particular the area we are in! This area contains the largest tribe/group of each faction and they are now fiercely at war with one another. ISAF forces are also operating in the area, using aerial surveillance drones, manned flights, and armed drone strikes. “Boots on the ground” operations are unlikely,but not unheard of, in support of the GNA (Gurbhasistan National Army) who are tasked with providing peace to their war ravaged country.

Important: Operation Dust Viper will be a single, sustained game. There will not be our standard lunch break. You will need to eat, drink and rearm in the field. Bring lunch with you!

As always, check this thread before 8 AM Sunday for any changes in plans due to cyclones, volcanic eruptions or alien invasions.

•TAG Airsoft players must be 16+ and have a parent or guardian sign our waiver if you are under 18.
•Green Gas and Bio BBs available.
•$20 for day membership. Includes club gun use, eye-pro and unlimited ammo!
•Hit Markers! These are a required/essential piece of kit! Please ensure you have yours this Sunday! (we have some for sale, $12 each)
•Post up if you need a lift!

SUNDAY: Mainly fine with morning frosts for inland areas. Light NE winds developing about coastal areas. Highs 13-14 degrees.

Intel just in:
Locals are reporting increased ISAF movement in the area. There have been, and continue to be, numerous shows of force by ISAF air units. Jet and helo flybys are almost continuous. Some locals are reporting sightings of high altitude drones as well.

All forecasts are saying tomorrow will be substantially better than today (Saturday). It will be wet out in the field though.

Any questions let me know, otherwise, so as not to ruin the surprise and MilSim style of gameplay there won't be any further information regarding the game until the briefings on Sunday. Weather is looking like it should be good for Sunday, but if it isn't, this will play rain or shine anyway!

You will all be playing on some form of middle eastern insurgent team, so if you want to wear appropriate attire and/or, have the choice of appropriate weapons, then please feel free to wear/bring them. Unlike other more serious MilSim games there are no set team uniforms to worry about. If you can and want to fit the theme then do, else not a problem.
