Would anyone be going through the Riccarton area as my car is dead and i May need a ride out

....anyone know anything about solenoids or starter motors?

try tap it with a spanner/crescent/something metal and then start it again, prolly just the solonoid not engaging. Also, make sure you tab the starter motor, not the alternator (seen it done) it will be the one that looks like an alternator, down the bottom, towards the back of the motor

that will be really appreciated and thanks heaps for the advice Kow, I will thrash it tomorrow and if that doesn't work - might need to buy a new solenoid for the old heap
