Fortnightly CQB Training

Image

Field: TTC, 400 Waterloo Road, Islington
Start Time: Gates open at 1900
IC: Sixthree
Cost: $10 (to be given to the TAG committee member)

I am pleased to announce that TAG and CSG will now be conducting CQB training at the TTC on alternate Wednesdays to the CQB league.

This training is open to all members of TAG and CSG. The training will cover the following:

Pistol skills
Rifle skills (AEG and GBB specific)
Urban movement
Room combat
Combined operations

This is not a game day, do not show up expecting to run around shooting each other, even engaging other people will be the exception to the rule. This is intended to help you develop the skill sets to aid you in operating in this environment.

There will be lots of target shooting, learning about your weapon/s and how to employ it/them effectively, how to move around in a tactical fashion and a lot of team work based techniques.

To reiterate, do not show up expecting to skirm. If you play the fool I will tell you to leave. Myself and Glen are offering very similar training to what the Army used to pay us to deliver, for free. All you have to bring is $10 for the use of the facility, your gear and enthusiasm.

On that make sure you pay, don't be a bludger.

Training will commence at 1920 sharp, if you are not there we start without you and I won't play catch up for anyone. Make sure your gear is ready before you arrive, there will be no sales of gas or BBs there so make sure you have what you need.

Training will finish at 2100 sharp.

I'll update this thread with the lessons that will be conducted each fortnight so you have a heads up.

Really cool, would love to come along but my glock17 is broken. I have gas and a holster if anyone could lend a replacement for the evening I would really appreciate it. If not then I'll look forward to the other nights

Gates open: 1900

Lesson: Introduction to the primary.

Here's a quick breakdown on what we are going to cover.

Slings, the types and the pros and cons.
Grouping.
Applying aim off.
Various shooting drills.

What you will need:

Rifle.
A charged battery or gas if you run a GBB.
At least 2 magazines.
Your sling if you wear one.
Your vest/belt rig/chest rig, you fight in it hence you train in it.

Don't forget your $10.

Hope to see some more of you there. The training is pretty chilled out guys and I cater for all skill levels. The only downside is you have to put up with my crap attempts at jokes. We will be running 6 target frames this time so there will be less waiting around.
