I have just moved up from timaru and im looking into getting into airsoft im an ex paintball player and really enjoy it.
I was wondering if someone can give me some info on airsoft in general and a good place to buy guns

Hey man

Welcome to the forums! My recommendation would be to not buy any gear or guns until you've been out to a few games. This stuff ain't cheap and there's nothing worse than buying a bunch of gear only to realise it's a bit rubbish.

You should be able to see the weekly game threads, so the best thing to do it post IN for the next game, hire some gear and have a good chat to everyone on the day.

There's a wealth of knowledge that's hard to go over on a forum, but just ask if you've got any questions.

Hey thanks for a fast reply there only issue i have is i dont really have transport to get out to games, im only new in chch so was wondering if there were any players in the sockburn i could give like 10 bucky gas to take me out, how much is it for hire on the gear

I drive past Sockburn on my way out to airsoft, so I can give you a lift. Gear hire is $20 for the day I think, includes gun, eye protection and ammunition.
