HI all, the PSG broken again and I am thinking of put a G3 Gear box in instead old one, but i need a G3 grip to test its possible or not...so... any1 have a second hand G3 grip for sell? or is it possible I can just borrow for one day to give a try... thanks.
It is a brand new PSG, shot less than 50 times ....ouch.... the problem happened after I put systema set in, the set including
-Gear Set
-Piston Head
-Nozzle
-Piston
-Cylinder
-Cylinder Head
-Taper Spring
-Spring Guide
-Shims
-low res wire
For better FPS, I used 11.1 lipo, but 20 shot later the piston teeth (systema aluminum one) worn out, I thought maybe the battery too powerful, so I brought another GP one and use 8.4 mini instead, 10 shot after same situation happened - piston damaged..... and I think maybe spring (120% PDI) too strong? then I brought a new GP piston (from club, nice and quick by the way) and cut the spring little bit to decrease the pressure on piston, the result is same, 5 shot, the last teeth (biggest one) totally gone!!!
No idea what da problem, maybe i need to put back the marui gear set? or get a weaker spring? piston?

possibly very bad shimming on the sector gear or a bad run with faulty pistons. What spring does it have in it? You need to remember the PGS gearbox holds the piston all the way back, and when you pull the trigger it releases it and pulls it back again. This way there is no lag between trigger pull and fire
1. bad shimming on the sector gear
Have a experienced mate help me put in, and shim it, should be fine
2. a bad run with faulty pistons
GP piston's problem?

Yes, after release the spring, the first shot will only pull the spring back, then next shot will release it then pull it back again, basiclly first two shot only one BB out.
4. what spring it in now
PDI 120% should be 330FPS but I cut like 1/10 at end
Well, guess I will try one more time, get a deep fire piston and put marui gears in ..... but still if any1 have spare G3 grip please let me know, thanks.

i while back there was a bad run with G&P polyamide reinforced pistons breaking all the time. I suspect there was a manufacturing defect. However i've had one in my G3 running at 340fps for 2 years now without issues.
The only other reason would be it is shimmed to high and the sector gear is not making good contact with the piston.. this will put all the force in a small spot and cause it to break like this.
