As a result, we have receive many questions regarding the legitimacy of our commercial ABU. Should you receive any such inquiries, please provide the following statement which we developed and had approved by Bradford:
In response to the many positive inquiries about the commercial version of the ABU by the men and women of our Armed Forces, Propper is providing the following clarification:
Propper International is the only manufacturer to have been granted permission by the creator and copyright holder of the Air Force Digital Tiger Stripe pattern to produce and sell a commercial version of the U.S. Air Force Airman Battle Uniform (ABU).
The construction and materials used in the manufacturing of the commercial ABU meet the same military specifications as the uniforms being issued by the U.S. Air Force, including the inclusion of Near Infrared (NIR) technology, and the application of a permanent press finish.
The commercial version of the ABU is assembled at Propper International manufacturing facilities in the Dominican Republic, a GSA-approved country.
This statement has also been posted on both websites.
