Wanted to try on ess tactical goggles/glasses w/lens inserts

Hi guys! I'm new to the game so I'm about to buy some eye-protecting gear. Currently, I'm looking at ess profile nvg and ess ice models. They're both compartible with lens inserts. I wonder if anyone has one of these goggles. That'd be really great to try them before I order them online from overseas stores( I don't think they're available here in NZ) Cheers.

Most players just use Safety Glass's from companies like NZ Safety.

We do have some players who also use goggles and full face masks.

I use the ESS Ice system for real pistol shooting and NZ Army. Saved my eyes already during massive defensive fire shoot, where every 4th round ejected shell from my buddies Steyr hit my face. Not a mark on the lens (the shells were piping hot too - especially after around 500 through the rifle). Lots of fun.

Very nice system. When prone, looking towards the top of the glasses there is no rim to interfere with sight picture. Haven't fogged yet either. The rims also come with wrap around strap, so you won't loose them in the heat of the battle.

The lens wrap around the side of your eye giving very good side protection.

No good for dusty situations though - far to open.

The interchangeable lens are good too - yellow for dusk, clear for morning and brown for midday.

I don't use the ESS for airsoft just becuase it's more prone to damage from gorse etc, and a pair of safety googles is cheaper (as per above comments).

Style is great too, if thats a consideration.

Good luck with your purchase. Tactical solutions in Auckland do sell them, and not a bad price either :D
