Just got one 11.1v lithium, no idea it can be used on my SEG or not

some1 says dun try it on Marui or any gun less than M120 power, some1 says they tried on Chinese clone, works fine.....

any suggestion? plan to put on SR25, about M130 power

if i recall correctly, li-poly batteries require some serious work to your internals before your average SEG can handle it, especially one with that much juice running through it. i'd say best not to use it unless you're prepared to replace your internals, but someone else probably has a better answer for you

Edit: also, the higher voltage generally just means a higher cycling speed/rate of fire. for us, with all our guns being semi only (and with the SR25 being semi only in the first place), there probably isn't much advantage of having that high a voltage

Total agree with SkruWD, mainly the reason someone would be bothered buying a lipo would be for rof (rate of fire) as in the United States they are allowed to spam the sh!t out of their guns.

For us though, there isn't much point. Most guns from the box are shooting 280 - 330 fps so there isn't much need for a massively hefty battery.

Just my 2 cents :P

11.1V should be fine. Although it is quite large. I use 7.4v lipols for my stockless guns (G36 etc) and they are wicked.

Arcing in the contacts occurs anyway, and the low voltage of the cells isn't really going to change that. The main thing to look for is the Discharge rate. The higher the discharge rate the more damage it can do to the contacts, as it can discharge more current in a smaller amount of time.

Lipols are used for the small energy desity, which allows you to get much more bang into a smaller package. A byproduct would be increased field life (lasts longer in the field) and better trigger respose (less delay between pulling the trigger and firing the shot).

Get some helps from other forum, 80% of the reply is DUN USE IT.......seems PEQ2 with 9.6v 2400 is the replacement... sigh

It is so hard to get spare parts in NZ, really hope there is a Airsoft shop can do fix, upgrade, retail items at reasonable price (Paid 899 for my first TM MP5 at Gun city.... what a rip off)

by the way, wouldn't an m130 spring put it around roughly the 430 fps mark?

what forum was that kuku? I know guys using 11.1v Lipols and LiIon batteries at the moment without issues.

What spare parts do you need? Al Tee can get G&G spare parts easily at a resonable price (he's on the airsoft.net.nz forums). Unless you are running ultra high FPS springs i wouldn't expect an SEG to require too much maintenance past trigger replacements now and again. My G3 is still running the same systema standard gear set i put in it 3 years ago, and back then it was doing 420fps :)

Get help from Taiwan forums, (http://www.arms-cool.net) I think the problem is not how many % of chance that lipo battery will damage the gun, the problem is if the gun damaged, parts is hard to get, SR25's gear box it bit longer and can;t use normal V2 parts, it more like PSG style.... parts will be expensive and time consume to get.

G&G? no way.. Al Tee has the distribution rights for G&G in NZ.. he gets the parts directly from them.

It is highly unlikely to do any damage in the short term anyway.
