New to sport, not looking to start for a couple of months

Hey everyone,

I'm Callum and I'm 19. I moved down to Christchurch about a month ago now and want to start playing airsoft. Because of my course I'm not really going to have enough time to come along for a couple of months yet. Just wanted to come on and say hi, see who I should get in touch with and check out what you guys have to offer!
I haven't played airsoft before, but I've got a GBB Sig P226 and a Desert Eagle. You have SEGs to hire for games?

Sweet, hope to hear from some of you guys!

We have hire weapons (SEG's) for anyone who wishes to try out the sport before the buy their own SEG.

One of the guys will contact you in the near future via PM and fill you in on the details.

Once again Welcome to TAG and enjoy. :D

"Welcome Gabatron" TAG has Hire Weapons for new prospective members to hire if they have No Airsoft Weapon.
There is a charge of $20 for their use. (You get 1 hi capacity mag, bb's, safety glasses or face mask)
Also we give New prospective members 4 days of free games to get the feel of the sport, and to see if they like it before they invest in buying Airsoft Weapons.

Be very careful importing weapons yourself, If its not Semied before it gets to NZ, NZ Customs will seize it and destroy it. Or if it fails the testing at NZ Customs the weapon will be seized and destroyed.

TAG has an Armourer who can help with buying and importing a Airsoft Weapon for you. But as all imports its buyers risk.

Just out of curiosity what have you been looking at buying and where from ? Oh and at what price.

PM - Rogue and ask for help.

Maybe a easy fix would be remove the selector plate ?

Rogue should have a idea, not sure if he knows much about D Boys.

Re: New to sport, not looking to start for a couple of months

I wouldn't recommend bringing in your own electrics and certainly not from the states. Cost will be higher - freight out of the states is very expensive, risk of them not semi-ing it will be higher - if it isn't done properly customs will seize and crush it. And worst of all it will have an orange flash hider.

Buy new from a local source, less risk, more warranty. Talk to the guys at MAG (http://www.mag.net.nz), they'll put you on the right track.
