NZ customs

Hey guys just seeing if any one knows what this means? I got this as a tracking update message.

Package not released through Clearing Agency system - document inspection required.

Package data processed by brokerage. Waiting for clearance. / Brokerage released shipment. Shipment is submitted to Clearing Agency for further clearance.

Re: NZ customs

Never seen that before. You should call NZpost and then customs.

Hopefully they're just going to GST you which you can do over the phone.
Or they didn't semi it and you're boned.

My SCAR came from hongkong and took a long time to clear customs, and I had to pay GST. They'd definately been having a good play with it because the gun came jammed in the box.

Re: NZ customs

Needs more clearance.

Either call them or wait a few days for an update/letter demanding GST/import levies.

Re: NZ customs

i called customs and the lady said she did not know what that meant, and said to go out to customs at the airport and talk to them to help you import it or go and see a brokerage to help import it.
It is shipped with UPS because i tried to use the tracking number in NZpost and it came up with not yet tracked.

here is the url to the tracking:

Re: NZ customs

The "Shipment is submitted to Clearing Agency for further clearance" makes me think it may be best to wait, atleast untill tomorrow, to see if it moves on its own.

IMO try call again later, maybe get someone more knowledgeable or ask that same person if there is anyone available that can help you out.

Re: NZ customs

Don't tell them it's a gun. They'll immediately put your question in the too hard basket. Just enquire about it like any other package and if anything is wrong then they'll let you know.

Re: NZ customs

You have to email the cost of the package the values of the order how much they cost. Got it by the letter from NZ post not customs. Just call the broker and Email the values of the package. The paypal document you used to pay for it.

Re: NZ customs

Update

i was on the phone with customs monday the first time i called the lady said that my item is not in customs but held by flyaway which was my brokerage and she didnt know what to do and said bye. :?: :?: :?: :?:
so i called again and some guy he said i needed a pemit from the police, so i called the police could not get ahold of them.
so i called customs again and got a lady called kylie (best customs person ever) she said no i did not need a pemit but need to prove that it was semi-ed so i emailed the paper work, and said she work cut through flyaway and do it herself.
so today got a call about tax and duty which was $159 and paid it, so i will be 2-3 working for it to be shipped to my door. :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

P.S if there is any spelling errors i am sorry

I have no idea what you just said but I'm glad you're getting your gun. Sucks about the duties though.
