Gun FPS limits

Hey Guys,

Matt here (or zac for some of you who know me)

Just confirming that the WE SVD GBB rifle which shoots just over 400fps would be considered to high powered for the games (i read limit was 350 but just want to confirm this)

Also is their any way of down powering these? eg a gas restrictor or something.

Will have to get the dust of my AK and bring her out for a blast, just waiting on some parts from redwolf airsoft 8)

Cheers guys,
Matt

Re: Gun FPS limits

Hey man, 350 is our limit, and I'm pretty sure there is a gas restrictor that attachés to the end of your barrel, someone here will know what it is I'm thinking of.

GBBR noob reporting: Isn't that what an NPAS does?

Re: Gun FPS limits

The is a NPAS system available for them. This is an upgrade part which lets you ajust the gas-flow within the gun thus letting you adjust the fps.

I just did a quick search and found this video:

The NPAS appears to be a piece of shit.

So I'd say there is no way of being able to use this at our field, let alone any other fields in Christchurch.

I don't know if you've got this already or not, but it's not a good idea to get a gas gun as your first primary. They need a lot of time and money put into them before they are reliable and the magazine capacity/price range will put you at a disadvantage.

Re: Gun FPS limits

Ok thats cool, have already got the SVD,but unless i can find a way of sorting it out i will just leave at home as a toy for abit of fun.

Have still got my AEG AK 47 as my primary and Marui Desert Eagle for Backup so will just use them instead. Will have to chrono the AK first though to make sure its within the 350 limit

Thanks Heaps,
Matt
