Thoughts on the Socom Gear Punisher 1911?

Was interested in finding a colt 1911 that was like the ones in the first Punisher movie.

Thoughts on this?

Re: Thoughts on the Socom Gear Punisher 1911?

Negative.

That Socom Gear would look fine as a set piece on your wall or something, but will be completely useless for skirmishing.

As far as 1911's go, here your best bet for a similar pistol that you could then customise with a compensator etc.

However, although I love my 1911 MEU, I would highly recommend getting a 1911 Hi-Capa. Not only can they look all blingin' like the one you linked, but they are the most extremely practical weapons you can buy. To the point that they outdo many AEGs in some situations.

If you don't want the bling bling hi capa, you could also just get one of these. Same thing, just less money.

1911 Hi-Capa or M1911 MEU + Compensator = Punisher 1911 That performs awesomably?

That compensator is not compatible with Marui 1911s :(

I prefer the 4.3 Hi-Capa formfactor.

Any one had any dealings with compensator's? Does it really do anything besides looks? or does it help a bit with recoil?

Re: Thoughts on the Socom Gear Punisher 1911?

My WE M92 has a compensator + added rail, both made of some sort of metal. And I must say it does do very little to nothing in terms of recoil. Probably because my slide and everything else is full metal so a few extra grams on the front isn't going to do much when the full metal slide slaps back.
If you come out next game, you can shoot off some rounds with and without the attachments on my M92 so long as you don't laugh at it's poor performance :D

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that would work. Replaces this part:

I'm a bit late to this party. But if you intend on using a pistol, it'll will always eventually end up being a Marui pistol that you end up using.

(It's because the other ones are shit)

I haven't owned many GBB's (one to be exact) but I spent a lot of time choosing the right one for myself, As it would be I also chose the 1911's platform and ended up buying this http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/tokyo-marui- ... -70-1.html I know it's abit of a plain jane, but I like it's simplistic feel.

That's the general feeling I've been getting after a few games with my WE tech. Definitely going to be upgrading to a TM in the future especially for a side arm.

Flazz kind of nailed it there, but that is in fact completely true.

On the Hoki trip, we were speaking to Zimmer from NAC, and he made it known that they all use Marui pistols. Note: those guys are pretty top notch.

Re: Thoughts on the Socom Gear Punisher 1911?

Seeing as we are on the topic, I was wondering if someone could clear up for me exactly why Tokyo Marui is the most preferred (don't want to go as far as saying the 'best') brand when buying a GBB pistol?
