Decent and cheap hmm, not sure that the two go together with radios :D

You can pick up some 0.5 and 1 watt radios pretty cheap on trademe, dick smiths etc. The low wattage radios have pretty limited range in the bush but are ok in the open.

5 watts gives you some pretty good range even in bush but the $$ go way up.

To be honest a radio wouldn't be at the top of my gear list if I was starting out, there are heaps of other bits that are more important - unless you have a big budget that is

Yea, he is right, if i were you buy a radio after you get all the other gear, at this stage we don't really use radio's as much as we like to. But if you were to get a radio, personally i recommend to get at least a 2W one, those 0.5W ones from dick smith crap out after like 2 uses....at least the ones i got did.

Hi Pat.

Trademe or DSE - pretty good options.

You can easily import springer or gas rifles in from overseas (strickly semi only - otherwise 1) the gear would most likely get seized by customs; and 2) you won't be able to play with any NZ Airsoft clubs cause we are all semi).

check out

There lots of others www shops - but these 2 sites cover pretty much everything.

Enjoy and be prepared for addiction.

Goodluck and hope you have a really nice XMas prezzy.

To be honest i wouldnt trust it, Tippmann made great paintball markers but only recently started trying to break into the airsoft market. If you are wanting a cheap pump action gun, it may do the trick, but there are a lot of other pump action shotguns that would do a better job.
