hey just wonder if a silencer is just there for looks, adds to performance/drops performance of seg??

it's there to silence the weapon and look good

Some are their purely for looks, and others such as the VSR's and the Socom's actually do muffle the sound of the firing of the weapon.

If I take the VSR or the Socom silencer off their is a big difference to the sound of the shot being fired.

i'll attest to that even with my homemade silencer made out of pvc pipe and old carpet, i can tell the difference on GBB's the case may be a bit different though, cause most of the noise comes from the blowback anyways, but for my rifle, i definitely hear the difference between the distinct pop when the bb flies out without the silencer, and a much softer poof when it is on
