CQB Competition

CSG are going to be putting on a CQB Competition. I think we should enter at least a couple of teams. Here are some details from Squirrel

"OK fellows

Your local pie-eating men are going to start up the CQB competition...

There will be such things as time-trials for your TEAM (this is a team of 4 and will be your permanent team), and also for singles (I am aware not many of you will be keen for this, but maybe you should just harden the fuck up and get over the fact some people are better than you haha (and I definitely do not imply I am, hell no))

One game plan is a set of targets spread around the rooms (these will be metal, for the ding factor) and to "kill" the target, you need to hit a certain area, this will be time-dependant

A varient of this will be targets in one room, on retractable sticks, with volunteers to randomly lift the targets up (think pretty much every SWAT and SAS based shooting game training missions)

Another will be 4-person teams either competing directly against each other, or against a group of "TERROARISTS" who will do anything to kill off the CT team. Rules for this could be along the lines of there are no rules for the terrorists, they could be in the ceiling space, dressed like you, psychotic suicidal with erotic tendancies etc...the rules for CT team are : stay together, at all times

There are others, but Luke, Brett, my brother and I will be creating the scenarios and rules for these competitions, and more will be posted within the week

To enter your team, you need to PM me, email (ardilla@paradise.net.nz) phone, text, or post here to say WHO is in your 4 person team (its up to YOU to sort that out) and what your team name is (Vege has rights to Team Jew)

There will be prizes for the team that wins on the night, something little like a chocolate fish or something :) and for the over-all at the end of the competition will be something gear-wise...I haven't thought that far ahead yet but will keep you posted :) "

So who would be interested? I'd like to see some of the younger fellas put a team together. I'd say your team would do well to be comprised of 6 members so you can rotate weeks or have backups for injury.

We'd also look at practicing as teams at some point as well, and maybe even go to one of their shoot fests and play on the same teams.

Here's some stuff you may need:

- Black gear if you have it. I wouldn't be too worried if you don't. I don't have any and i'm not worried
- A short assault rifle or submachine gun doing UNDER 300fps
- A pistol of some description, preferably semi-automatic but it doesn't need to be

At the moment i know of only one other team entered, that is from Bard Karma.

At this stage it will be every second Wedensday night.

Entering the competition will require some commitment as it will impact both your own team mates and the other teams if there are no shows.

Teams of 6 would be a good size as you will stand a reasonable chance of getting 4 turn up to the game nights.

I am picking up some BB's from one of the organisers tomorrow night, I'll see hwere they are at with the competition games etc and update here.
