Re: launcher grenades leaks gas help

check that the middle bit....

ok... let me try and be a bit more methodical.

There should be a piece of metal in the middle of where you stick the tip of the gas can to fill the grenade. Make sure this is not on a lean or anything like that..... It can cause them to leak.

We are planning a pistol and grenade maintenance evening some time in the next month, Bladerunner will be giving an in depth presentation on how to maintain grenades at that.

Re: launcher grenades leaks gas help

If you use a too powerful gas such as the propane from bunnings then the o-rings won't last long as I found out with my King Arms Grenades. Using the Green Gas canister propane which is a lower pressure seems to work for my madbull grenades. Yes it does cost more to use green gas on your grenades but at least you are not always looking for new orings.

The o ring I found which blows out first is the tiny one inside the fill valve. I went to DOTMAR near Addington raceway trying to find a replacement but they didn't have anything that small. The end result was I had to order new fill valves from UNCOMPANY instead.

Re: launcher grenades leaks gas help

Sorry Manley that is not correct :D I have alway used the propain from Bunnings and have never had a problem :D . Orings only have a limited life in the 203 Shells due to the explosive nature of these things. These Shell need to be serviced on a regular basis. I am now in a position to obtain all the Orings and the ball bearings 3mm and 4mm including the tiny 1x1mm oring for inside the valve. As Nem has stated We are going to do a maintainence night and I will show you what to do and were to get what you need.

Just Sounds like your shells are due for a service. I can do this for you or come to the maintainence Night.
What Brand is your Shells.

Cheers :D :D :D :D

They are king arms shells dude. I always found that keeping them gased, using lots of silcone spary really helps with keeping them working but even then they can still be a real pain in the arse.

Re: launcher grenades leaks gas help

If any of the orings have deformation or small dent or are out of shape they will leak and will need replacing. I can Sort that for you. Silicon Spray will make the oring swell then they will get damaged as you are trying push it into the hole that is now to small for the swelled oring. A dry powder form of silicon is recommended. :D :D :D :D
