The PSG is an awesome weapon - but be prepared to spend $$ to make it accurate. (e.g. another $500).
The rifle is very long too - not easy to run around with it.
However, once tuned they are very nice to wield
If you really want a sniper then I recommend a small sniper VSR or G-Spec rifle.
Good luck.

Hi guys,
New to all of this, including joining forums. Read the previous entries /discussions and seriously considering joining. I watched a couple of youtube NZ airsoft documentaries (which maybe old videos) and saw a number of players with electric semi-autos (m-16,m4's, AKs and what looks like a marui thompson). Just wondering how they got these. I know they're not available in NZ. Is there ANY WAY to get a totally converted semi-auto Electric gun legally into New Zealand, say from hong kong? Like an official notice from the shop that converted it that it's only semi? Or maybe a permit from the NZ police before importing it? Any info much appreciated.

Couple of months ago, I also saw a 2nd hand marui AK semi EG on trademe. Looked in good condition but had a very steep price range..well, for me anyway. $700 NZ. Charles mentioned something about buying second hand ones in Airsoft NZ site, haven't been able to find posts yet. Is this the typical price range?
Hey Sarge,
Haven't seen an actual PSG-1 but I think it's as tall as me! Haha! I was kinda hoping to do some running and gunning(need the exercise) not so much sniping. Also heard that thing is heavy..
yes it is, if you're more into the hit and run stuff a pistol or 2 would be more than enough or something like a Marui mp5 springer
