Re: Buying New Gun For Noobs/Me

I'd avoid buying things of trademe as they tend to end up having serious hidden problems. Generally people end up selling their airsoft guns on trademe when they don't feel comfortable flogging it off to an ASNZ member (we have a sales section in the ASNZ members area which you can see once you're a paid TAG or any other ASNZ affiliated club member).

The gun itself is alright, but the G&P sentry series need a few extra parts to get them up to speed. Namely a different bevel gear as the one that's in there is meant for F&A and only has anti reversal latch teeth. The replacement gear only costs 4USD though so it's not that much of a problem. There's a couple of other little extra bits that are just my personal preference that I won't get into.

Overall, my opinion would be to avoid it (though it is a nice gun) because it's second hand on trademe (could be not going very well) and it's not a very good price considering what they're worth brand new. Have a look on ehobbyasia or wgcshop, general rule of thumb is to convert to NZD and add around 120ish NZD for shipping and semi, and possibly additional GST. Before you buy anything post up here so I can hate on it :P

If you decide on something Marui, get it from http://echigoya-guns.com/ as they're considerably cheaper than any other store for Marui guns and they also do free semi-ing. Additionally they do free shipping for their M4 recoil series guns which are supposed to be awesome, but I've never seen one in person. (you've gotta email them for shipping quotes though).

Maybe something from here might be to your liking ?

ASGC from my experience are good people to deal with. And they are in Auckland.

That should be fine except it will be over the fps limit, so get one of these springs . Also to fix a wee problem that you might have on semi with that particular gun get one of these gears and you'll be sorted.

Either me or Sneakers can install those for you if you bring it round, PM one of us when you get it :)

****Just a reminder****

All Airsoft Weapons Must be semied before they arrive in NZ, Otherwise NZ Customs will Seize them and either send them back to the shipper at your cost or they will destroy them.

Re: Buying New Gun For Noobs/Me

You will just need to add this to your order http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/eac-semi-aut ... -plan.html to get them to semi it.Also just be aware customs may require you to pay gst when it comes into the country, if they do it would be around $100.
