Becoming an official TAG member....?

Hi everyone
I’m an old gamer- started way back in the early 2000’s when there was just the one group, and it didn’t have an official name just a whole bunch of people having lots of fun at Mcleans Island.
I have had a long break from airsoft but decided to get back into it again and Sundays are a good day to play I unfortunately cant come out as much as i would like to, but when i can i do...

In saying that...

I have come out to a few games and filled out the paperwork and deposited 6months worth of membership into the TAG account ( Bank info I got off CPT Dan Cheers).

For the life of me I could not find any info anywhere on this on the forum, not even a rough guide for the interested... Sure there is the two threads on membership (TAG documents and new players welcome) both old as the hills ( over 10 years old now), last posts being 5 and 3 years.

Is there a chance that this could be fixed/updated? Being on multiple Forums myself seeing 10 year old posts feels like Necroposting
I understand forums take a bit of work and spare time to maintain, but feel this information is missing or is out of date; and as a new signing player feel it is vital and I personally prefer to find this info publicly rather than word of mouth/ private messages.


Perhaps the forum is not the place for this anymore? Is this more the realm of Facebook?
Is the forum now mainly a place to check game date info and photos from past games?

The format to join TAG is unchanged from the day the club was formed so most likely the information on the threads you read is true and correct.

In saying that, I agree. A "how to join" single page document or stickied post would be beneficial.

Something for the committee to discuss at their next meeting.

Yes i believe it would be good too ( a “how to” and an updated guide ) and look forward to this process taking place and shape.

At the moment it all feels like its in the dark and guess work is involved to figure out the procedure without having to ask directly and wait for a reply ( other than in person )
The club manual is good and broad but also doesn’t mention this either... apart form needing to sign a waver before play...

Thanks for the feedback. Good to get a new perspective on it. I'm sure having our new membership rules being more easily available would be to everyones benefit.
But in case you were still wondering; it's play four games, apply to join, committee approves, pay fees and you're in

I absolutely agree with what you are saying, and second Flazzbog's and Reapernet's comments above. I will add it to the agenda for our next committee meeting. In the meantime I have updated the documents post with a short description of the process.

As the others have said, not a lot has changed, hence the lack of any real update. Most of what we do is out at the field, and we use the forums to support that. For everything, and anything, our best forum with the fastest response time is the guys and gals at the field, especially the senior members and committee. They will always be happy to answer questions and have a chat about any of our rules and processes.
