Noob Advice

Hi All

Heard about you guys through Manley (cheers dude), i am considering playing. Have a background in paintball though.

I am currently in the process of purchasing a Marui G36K with semi conversion and a KSC M1911A1.

Any advice on these would be much appreciated.

hahaha yeah i'm pretty new myself, but even i'd say, come out, use a club pistol or something to begin with, have a feel of it, decide whether you like it, before you decide to spend hundreds on a gun :D though i can pretty much say you'll have fun :) lang'd been telling me about how much fun he had, and kept pestering me, chandamonium and j-warrior to buy guns and join in.

in the end j warrior and chandamonium bought guns and joined him, then screamed at me about how awesome it was and that i had to go the next week, and next thing you know (no, really, next thing i knew, it was almost instant), i was the proud new owner of a chrome p226 hahahaha

but i did have copious amounts of fun, i just so happened to join on the day of a big event to boot, brilliant day, worn to bits by the end of it, but very satisfied :P

And how much is it for the day?? and does that include a pistol??

If you post up quick enough you can "book" a club pistol. Safety glasses or goggles are a MUST or any full face protection.

Its free for your first 4 games i think.

well, aside from your safety goggles, you don't REALLY need anything else, but if you don't wear something that vaguely resembles the woodlands we'll be playing in, you'll be a human beacon like me :P which works out being very bad, me being a sniper and all, especially with a bright blue bag on my back :P

oh yes, you might need a backpack of sorts to carry supplies around, like gas, water, etc

oh also, not really a necessity, but it might help if you wear something thick enough to stop gorse, you might find the shower afterwards a lil less stingy :)

short explanation: the hop up puts a backspin on the bb while it's flying, so it fliers farther, basically. adjustable hop ups allow you to adjust exactly how much backspin you want on the bbs :) too much and they start to float upwards, too little and they drop off really early.

On the front page we have a Wiki you can use to find out any info you may need. Just type in the Airsoft term you want to find out about and it will take you to the airsoft wiki site and (with a bit of luck) explain it for you, all be it in a not so pretty fashion.

Of course this is not to discourage you from asking questions here (ask away, we are all more than happy to help), just if you require a more immediate response it's a much quicker option.

hop up is what puts a back spin on the BB thus making it fly through the air better, if it's adjustable you can tinker with it to get the best result
