Fliway are New Zealand service partners for UPS (United Parcel Service)
They are Customs Bonded agents.
Nornally the goods would be shipped to the Christchurch Depot and held there until you had been contacted by letter or other means.
Once you agree to pay the Customs duty and GST they would deliver the package either by with a COD (cash on delivery) or prepaid via credit card etc.

Personlly I wouldn't use UPS as they are expensive, But then so are the other Air Freight companies.

How long do semi auto's take to clear customs normally?

If they've been semi'd properly, 2-3 days.

If something has gone wrong, then they send you a letter saying you're boned. They ask you for a permit that doesn't exist and then give you 30 days to cry about it until they melt your gun.

Generally, if you ask the retailer to make sure they declare the correct value of the gun, and ask them to put a letter in the box saying it's been semi'd to comply with NZ laws and is intended for sport use you should be fine. Except you're not an ASNZ member so you can't really claim you're using it for sport use.

They are gas blow back pistols, semi auto, so it should be pretty obvious that they aren't full auto haha!

I'm getting a WE Glock 19 and a WE Sig P229, will these be issues? I've never imported anything before.

Guns that are strictly semi auto only, eg pistols, definitely have less issues getting through customs.

As Nem said, coming up to Christmas, you could be waiting a while. Have you bought them already?

They shipped today, I want them by Jan 3, as that's when I arrive in NZ! haha
