Unless your a sniper like me and prefer to just shoot as many bb's at people as possible
(thats if im using the cheap ones like i usually do
)
Okay i have just contacted the new guy who owns bb bullets (duncan sold the buissness), the new owner is in kaiapoi and is willing to sell Super grand master .29g bb's in halves (should be approx $14 for 250 bb's) HOWEVER you must ring him to arrange half a packet, his number is : 327-7323
would be nice to have this number and the site address displayed somewhere on our site (either contact details or web links)

I see you .2c and raise another .2c
the SGM are the best. I bought various manufacturers bb's over a 2 months trail basis last year usign my PSG-1.
The SGM were the best in consistency - period.
Trouble with sniper is that 1 shot doesn't equal 1 kill. Even with SGM's any wind, and dirt/grim in the barrel or magazine will cause a variation in bb trajectory. With a good sniper rifle and person, in good conditions (no rain, fog, wind, clean kit, SGM's) then you should count on 40m body 1 shot kills everytime.

Well to save a big long elaborate post... I have done extensive testing on the Gun City ones, & found them to be the most consistantly shaped BB's money could buy. We put the verner caliper on 10 bb's from most of the companies & found the Gun City ones to be the most consistant, +/-.02 of a mm. Marui went from +/-.02-5, KSC +/-.02-4, Excel where the worst at +/-.3-5 etc etc. I will post the whole test up when I have time.
The only problem with the Gun City ones is that they start 5.95 mm, & so the +/-.02 goes on that. But they are getting the next lot made the same as marui 5.90mm so then that should work around the feeding troubles some folk had (including myself)
But if you are using bolt actions & semi, you shouldnt have feeding problems generally (from my tests so far) & it would save you the cost of a tight bore upgradeas the BB makes the difference.
